WE ARE EXCITED TO INTRODUCE COACH ALYSON!

Welcome Coach Alyson!

Alyson Byrne is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and has minors in Child Studies and Family Relationships. Alyson began dancing when she was three years old at Bataille Academie of the Danse in Barrington, IL. With almost 20 years of dance experience, she has training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and hip hop. Alyson began competing with Bataille and going to competitions at the early age of seven and loved every minute of it.

Alyson attended Saint Viator High School and as a freshman she became a part of the Viator Varsity Poms Squad and danced on the team all 4 years of high school. Alyson competed in numerous competitions with kick and pom routines. As a senior, Alyson was chosen to be captain of the squad. She led the team to a 3rd place trophy at the UDA State Competition in Pom, 1st place in Regional at the TDI Competition in Pom, and another 1st place in Regional at the UDA Competition in Pom. The Varsity Poms squad also performed at St. Viator home football and basketball games, as well as pep rallies throughout the year.

During college, Alyson became a part of The Miami Shakerettes. Alyson danced with The Miami Shakerettes for 3 years in college, which included performances in pom, kick, jazz and hip hop. Alyson was a member of Miami's oldest spirit team that performed at Miami home football and basketball games, as well as other Greek events on campus. The Miami Shakerettes perform with the band during home football games and were privileged enough to attend and be a part of The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade last November. They were right before Santa, which was an amazing experience she will never forget. Alyson was elected co-captain her Junior year of college where she helped choreograph routines and lead the team throughout the year. For Alyson's senior year, she was elected main captain of The Miami Shakerettes and had a lot of responsibilities including: choreographing routines, scheduling performances, running practice, and keeping a positive attitude fro the team throughout the year.

Alyson has a strong dance and leadership background and is extremely excited to be a part of Premier Poms and cannot wait for this season to start so she can share her love for dance with the rest of the coaches and the girls! :)
